Well, I am proud to admit that I just finished watching 4 (gasp!!! I know!) hours of television, all in the name of Oscar! Seriously, Granny, Jeremy and I just sat on our tooshies for 4 hours straight to watch the Academy Awards! With the exception of two trips to the kitchen to grab whatever leftovers or dessert items were available for eating! Anyhoo, I would like to take this moment to acknowledge one film in particular. This film received numerous nominations, including three (!!!) for best song...however...alas...sadly...this film did not find favor in the eyes of Oscar. This wonderful, underappreciated film is...
Yes, it is Enchanted! I loooooooved this movie! True, it has a scary witch-character who makes parts of it inappropriate for the young preschooler, but fast-forward those tiny little scenes and you have a perfect movie! The songs, dancing, and Disney parody make this movie so much fun, and I was totally bummed that it didn't win anything! Sigh...oh well...I hear it's coming out on dvd in March! That's something to look forward to!

I came out of the theater with a huge smile on my face when I saw that, and how often does that happen these days??
