We had a cabin of 11 4th grade girls. The theme for our cabin was "Fruit of the Spirit" (Galatians 5:22) and we went all-out with fruit all over the place! We gave the girls these fruit necklaces to wear all week, and we really tried to focus on being kind, loving, patient, etc. It was a great week...lots of work, but a great week! Jessica and I were the counselors for Tutti-Fruity Cabin 8! (note my strawberry do-rag)
Here they are!
All week long, we went to worship at noon and at night, missions and crafts in the morning, and sports in the afternoon. We swam every day and then did different sports like volleyball, soccer, bugout, softball, riflery, archery, a climbing wall, a ropes course, and a zip line! Here's the view from the zip line...it was soooo pretty...and SUPER windy!!!!

Then on Thursday (a Junior Camp tradition), the entire camp heads out to the soccer fields to The Great Washout! It's a huge water-gun and shaving cream fight! The kids (and counselors) love it! It only takes a few days for the shaving cream scent to fully leave your hair, so it's not so bad...
SO many kids accepted Christ and we had a great week of ministry with these girls! Thanks so much for your prayers! Who wants to come with me next year????

Oh....I miss Jr. Camp. Those pictures brought back so many memories. How fun...looks like you had a blast!
I don't know how in the world you did that for a week! That sounds so tiring. I think I would just get tired looking at fourth graders let alone be their BFF's for an entire week. You truly have a gift from God. Glad it went well!
It's official, you are a much better person than me. I remember the great wash out making my whole cabin wail and tremble with fear. Looks like you had a good time, when did they get the zip line? Lebanon is far more cool now

That is so awesome about all the kids who accepted Christ! Junior Camp was where I accepted Christ and hearing about all the other kids just makes me so happy :-)
So are there any pictures of you after the Great Washout floating around?? ;-)
