Christ is risen, indeed!

This Easter was fun for lots of reasons...one, being that Hattie got over a stomach bug with one day to spare, just in time to be healthy enough to go to church and be part of this special day. We had lots going on in Kids Cove at FBC...we started a tradition of having a "flower cross" and we made all the 2s-kinders "Empty Tomb Crescents" (I will post more about this later) to eat for a special illustration/snack. So much activity and fun ways to share the joy of Easter Sunday with kids! My favorite moment of the morning, however, was during large group when I asked the kids, "What's so special about Easter?" One little 4-yr-old raised his hand, thought for a few seconds, and said, "It's all about that rugged, old cross being made beautiful." My eyes about popped out of my head. Jesus took our sin and became sin for us, yet He was the Only Way we could ever be called righteous in God's eyes. He took that rugged, old cross and made it into something beautful. Something THAT profound and yet 4-year-old William "gets it." That's faith!
Hattie was the first to put a flower on the cross.

As the morning went on, the cross became more beautiful!

Cousin Matthew was at FBD this morning, so we had to take a picture! Buddies!

Hattie, Lola and Noah did some hanging out while I was wrapping up the morning at Kids Cove!

They have a great time together!

Then came time to play at Nonnie and Grandad's house! The weather was perfect and the flowers were gorgeous! :)

Happy Easter!
