Fair Day!

We usually make a trip to the fair on a given Saturday, but this year each of our weekends were busy with other things! :( This didn't seem right, so we took matters into our own hands and Jeremy and I took vacation last Monday and took Hattie to the fair!  It turned out that our good friends, The Cheathams, were going on the same day, so we had a great time together!  Lorelai, Landon and Hattie couldn't get enough of each other, and that made us parents smile...especially since we were eating snow cones, Fletcher's Corn Dogs, fried jamalaya, and fried pumpkin pie (the last two items were just eaten by Jeremy!)!  We had a great time and I took an insane amount of pictures...yet I will do my best to slim the pickins' down for you to enjoy!
Waiting happily for the Dart train to come...
Ran into a friend, Mr. Tony, within minutes!
Lorelai and Hattie
They did this just about all day long...so sweet.
Happy little farmers!
Elsie the Cow!
Petting Zoo!!!
This guy would NOT stop licking the fan!
Hattie was "whistling" to get the goats to come to her.
How creative is God to make this guy?!?
Waiting in line for the Pee Wee Stampede!
Lorelai's mommy (Mrs. JJ) prayed with the girls before it began...such a sweet moment!
Cute little cowgirls!
I couldn't resist a shot of these feet!
Hattie didn't last two seconds once they opened the gate!  She ran back to me, crying and refusing to go in, so we just watched from the sidelines instead.
Lorelai was a champion rider!
Mr. Matt bought the girls come pink candy!
This wonderful pic of Big Tex was taken only four days before he went down in flames! :(
Family pic with Big Tex...this year was his 60th birthday!
The auto show is always fun...
Other than Lorelai, I think Hattie held Mrs. JJ's hand more than anyone else's!
The bird show was SO COOL!
These pics were too cute...
And yes, we rode THE TEXAS STAR!!!
All three kids made the height cut!
Surprise!!!
I took this same picture a year ago...Hattie looks so much older now!!!
We stayed for the pig races, the dog show, and even the Electric Parade!
Does this look like a tired face to you?  I didn't think so!  Hattie was wired until her head hit the pillow at home...but we had a GREAT day and made lots of wonderful memories!
