Last week it SNOWED! I got about 2 miles from our house (it took me at least 30 minutes to get that far), and after sliding several times and seeing three sets of cars who had crashed into another car, I decided to turn around and come back home (instead of going to Mama and Daddy's house to drop off Georgia and then head to church for work and Hattie's KDO). I was so stressed out and scared that I started crying, and then when I told Hattie we would not be able to go to KDO at church, SHE started crying! I promised her we would still have a great time at home...and we did! In fact, Hattie said over and over that this day was lots more fun than KDO would have been (and that made me feel so good! I know how much she adores her teachers and friends at church!). We had the best time...just playing, snuggling, and enjoying the day. We played in the snow, drank hot chocolate, baked muffins, wrote a book (Hattie is a budding author-illustrator these days), and even watched a movie! Good times and precious memories. What started off as a very scary day ended up being so fun and special!
We started off the day, driving out of our alley like this...downhill, into a busy street...and I wasn't sure I would be able to stop! Ahhhh!!!
Then we came home, snuggled, and Hattie went straight outside!
Ohhh, the anticipation!
Serious girl...
Making footprints
Catching snowflakes on your tongue is a must!
Then we adjourned to the backyard...
Snow angels!
Not admitting she's freezing!
Aaaaaand, now she's inside to warm up and drink hot chocolate...
