VBS Week is Over!

Last week wasn't just Georgia's birthday week...it was Vacation Bible School at FBD!  We ALL had a great week, but I have to admit--I'm exhausted!  Today, we are laying low for the second day in a row because ALL of us have some catching up to do--sleep, chores, you name it!  The theme of VBS was Agency D3--Discover, Decide and Defend the truth about who Jesus really is, and it was fantastic!  The kids learned lots of apologetic truths they will need to know to live out their faith in the world today.  Every day they learned the answer to these questions:  Was Jesus God's Son?  Was Jesus more than just a good man?  Did God have a plan for Jesus?  Is Jesus alive?  Can I tell what I know about Jesus?  What great questions!  Day One of VBS was Georgia's actual birthday, so I tried to commemorate it a little bit as I toted her around the church for an hour before VBS started, setting up my area!
Hunt girls in Truett Chapel
Playing before VBS...
This was my destination all week!  Worship Rally/Large Group Time for all the PreK, Kinder, and 1st Graders!
Georgia had a great time in her class every day!
As did Hattie!
The Secret Agent
Hattie gave a little interview for the culminating VBS video...
She and her friends enjoyed doing that!
On Friday, the last morning to help Mommy set up Truett Chapel
My amazing drama team did a fantastic job (including a very talented drama director)!  I couldn't have done it without them!
Agent Snoop and Agent Scout...can you guess which one is which?
As soon as VBS was over, Hattie went straight to her friend Aubrey's birthday pool party!
She had a great time!
Oh, Hattie...what in the world?
Then she crashed.
While I got cleaned up to be in THIS beautiful bride's wedding!
Debbie, my BFF since the first day of 4th grade at Hyer, has married an incredible man, and I'm so thrilled for her!
Jeremy and I had a great time at the reception and made a date night of it! :)
Muah!
Then it was back to church, again, for Sunday morning worship!  Our family was running on fumes at this point, as you can see...Georgia fell asleep in her Sunday School class (which NEVER happens!) and stayed sound asleep (which also NEVER happens!) until I got her out of the car for lunch!
But wait!  THERE'S MORE!!!  Then, it was VBS Family Night!!!  Pony rides, crafts, face-painting, balloons, bounce houses, a trackless train, and all kinds of junk food!  It was a smashing success and we saw tons of new families and VBS guests come back for this event!  YEA!
These kids love Mrs. Shelly!
Now, after all that fun, I'm going to sleep!!! :)
