Crazy Weather!

On Friday we had a furious storm blow through Dallas!  It lasted only about 40 minutes, didn't have any hail or circular winds...but it had some serious straight-line winds!  Our area got between 80-90 mile/hour winds, and it did amazing damage!  Our house was without power for 24 hours, but there are some people who are STILL without power even tonight!  Enormous trees were uprooted, trampolines lifted up onto fences, fences blown down, power lines down, light poles bent, and so much more!  Our family spent the night with Nonnie and Grandad and the next day we walked around to survey the damage.  These are just a two examples of what we've seen all over the city!

This one fell right into the house, blocking the entire front of the house.

This tree was so huge, it covered the entire street!  We came by after they had cleared only the part that was blocking traffic...this part remained where it was until they could get a crew to help them dismantle it along with the sprinkler system it uprooted!

We were so amazed!  I took Hattie on a quick tour after school so she could see what a powerful wind can do...and how much more powerful the wind's Creator is as well!!!

This whole experience wore Georgia out...

But "Halloween Girl" wasn't hindered!

Thanks, Mama and Daddy, for inpromptu the slumber party!!!  We had a great time!
