The beginning took the longest time--raising the floor and making it level, insulated and strong!
Then the garage door went away!!! YEA!!!
Then the hole was cut in the wall for the French doors!
Georgia was a great supervisor.
Then the doors went in, and the house-garage door went out and was patched up!
Then the windows on the right side of the room went in! These windows overlook the backyard, and my favorite thing is the fact that they crank open! I can open them and call to the girls outside to tell them to wash up for dinner! ;)
We put three smaller, taller windows in on the left wall. They are wonderful and they give us privacy from our neighbor's tall house next door, which is nice. You can see how much sunlight the room gets in the morning...it's so great!
Georgia helped me pick the "FUZZY" carpet!
Then the built-in shelves and cabinets went in!
Georgia...again...supervising...
Recessed lighting and the rest of the built-ins are installed! Almost done...
Then the final touches...ceiling fan and carpet!
At first, the only furniture we had to go in the den was Hattie's activity table and chairs! She went right to work!
Then we filled the shelves and got furniture! (Specifically, a sleeper-couch, so that Gramma and Poppa have no excuse to not spend the night with us since Hattie took over their guest room!)
We are so thankful for God's blessing of our home. Every step along the way, beginning with our first moments in this house back in 2009, we have felt the Lord ordering our steps and providing for our needs. We have been so blessed, and we pray we can bless others with this new addition to our home! Come on over!

Looks great! Good job! Georgia is the cutest supervised ever! :)
You have found THE perfect spot for Granny's amber glasses. Most excellent! Your new den reminds me of the TV room in your growing up house. You should get some guinea pigs that spray each other. ;)
