Hernia Fun

And on June 2, I had........umbilical hernia repair surgery!  I'm officially an old person with old muscles that give out!
It was a very different experience from all my previous surgeries which were oral.  I had never had CO2 pumped into my abdomen before, and that was a real pain!  You're supposed to move around to get the CO2 to eventually release or absorb into your body, but MAN!  It was painful!  Despite the pain, these two littles made my days (and pictures) from the couch pretty nice!  Georgia dressed up her Beanie Boos...
Dressed up herself...
"Mommy...Hattie says I can't wear this blush......."
And THIS precious girl made me fresh fruit salad every day!  She partnered it with yogurt and sparkling water!
After a few days, I went to a special event (which I had bought tickets for, not realizing how crummy I would feel waiting in line!) to get an autographed copy of 43's new book!  I got to shake his hand one more time, too!  It turned out fine because I not only took a decent dose of pain meds, but I ran into two friends from church in the long line!  They were about 30 minutes ahead of me, and I unashamedly moved up to their spot in line when they waved hello to me!
And again...these two little girls made my "couch-ridden" recovery days so joyous!  Between watching them play, do art (both on paper and on their bodies), and watching Monsters Inc. about 30 times, they made the time fly by!  OH, and the fact that my sweet mother took them to the pool for a few hours about every other day was nice, too! :)
This picture below HAD to be taken, because Georgia was trying to look like Hattie...she had play makeup and glitter tattoos on (which Hattie had done for her), but she decidedly put a bunch of rubber bands on her wrists the way that her big sister Hattie does!  I asked her why she had so many on her arm, and she just said, "Because Hattie does.  I want to look like Hattie!"
