Georgia made herself comfortable in the lap of our friend Kerri and her daughter Lorelai!
Also, in September, Jeremy was ordained as a deacon!
He joined the ranks of some wonderful men in our church and especially his own father and mine! We were all so very proud of his receiving this honor to serve in this way.
The pastor and other church leaders laid hands on and prayed for all the new deacon candidates.
The pastor also invited Charles to also join them in prayer...what an honor!
Hattie and I had the chance to attend the Secret Keeper Girl conference together...it was a conference for girls and their moms, focusing on modesty and seeking your identity in Christ as HIS princess.
I helped out with a portion on the conference and volunteered to dress up in 70s attire...it was so much fun! I loved my jeans and my orange platform shoes!
Hattie liked my glasses!
Hattie had a great time and saw a few friends!
Then Hattie got to be part of the conference, too! It was a segment called "Mission Possible" and the girls solved some fashion/modesty problems in a cool way.
The speaker was wonderful...
Hattie had a great time!
And so did I!
That same evening of the Secret Keeper conference was the same night that Aunt Esther Mae went to heaven. It was unexpected, but the whole family came together to honor her beautiful life and celebrate her home going.
In times like these, I am so thankful for the legacy of faith which the generations before us have laid. Isabelle and Georgia were holding hands in prayer before the service, and I snuck this picture...what a beautiful image to remember this time by.
