Christmas Break Fun

Here are some of the other random things we did on our break!  We stood on the fireplace and looked cute...
We ate an early dinner of taco soup, piled in the car, and went driving through town and saw some amazing lights!  Beverly Drive was pretty amazing, but the Santa House is always our favorite!
My Christmas gift from my students and their parents was four tickets to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas the musical on stage at the Winspear!  It was so much fun!
We bought the girls souvenirs from the show which both were promptly broken within 30 minutes...but alas, we had fun!
Hattie delivered a care package to a homeless woman we saw on the sidewalk...her class at school collected all the items for each student to come away with one full bag to give away as a blessing to someone they saw over the break.  Sadly, we saw many more than just this one woman who could have used a love offering like this one.  We plan on doing this again.
Georgia dressed up quite a bit...but that's nothing unusual!  This time, she used my scarf to be like Mary!
A tiny dancer...
Minnie Mouse...
And an interesting swimmer girl with Beanie Boos in her Puddle Jumper...
Then BOTH girls decided to create a pool party in the den.  They wore their swim suits, packed a picnic, layed a blue bedsheets on the floor for the water, and even set up a photo booth area.  It was quite the imaginative event!
And another morning, I woke up to this workout video taping from 1987!
We got to see DEAR friends from far and wide...
This particular day was fun!  L and G were TOTAL buds and Ryann and Hattie were likewise!
I mean, look at this?!?!?  They laughed and held hands like this the entire time!
Northpark was definitely a happy place for us as usual.
Every now and then, the sweetest thing comes from of our children, and they have the opportunity to be a blessing.  Hattie was a blessing to our sweet neighbor, and I think she made his day with this little note.
That's not all Hattie did this break...she made all kinds of math and reading worksheets for me to do!  She even graded and checked my work! :)
And lastly, I leave you with this wonder!  We took a walk outside the church and found three heart-shaped leaves!  Take a look around you and see what love and joy you find!
