January Joys

We had a wild NYE...right here in the den...in our PJs...
And we even played a few mean games of Jenga!
There was dancing, singing, and piggyback rides.
And lots of selfies! :)
Then a few days later, Georgia walked up to me in her pjs, wearing my glasses.  I immediately had a double-take and remembered the SAME picture I took four years before, when Hattie was 4!  What?!?!?  Here's a side-by-side comparison!
Then there was that time when we watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas with her new Max stuffed animal, and I just had to take a picture...how cute is that?!?!
And the static...ohhhhhh the STATIC!  The only thing to do is braid when you have static this bad!  This month has been SO cold, temps in the teens, and the static is crazy!
I snuck a picture with Georgia one day at school, when she whisper-yelled, "MOMMY!!!!!" from my doorway.  She was on her way to the bathroom and I had been eating my lunch in silence in my classroom with the lights off, and hearing her voice and seeing her smile absolutely made my day!  She does this all the time...she'll run into my room, steal a hug and a kiss and then be on her merry way.  It's the best thing ever.  Hattie does it, too, in her own, cool, 3rd grader way.  She always gives me a hug in my room when she is walking to her room every morning.  And sometimes she'll pop in to say hi when she is filling up her water bottle (my room is apparently next to the COLDEST water fountain in the whole building, and everyone gets their water there!).  I love working near my sweet girls.
Speaking of Hattie, she has chosen to sit with Ms. Wendy in the alto section this Sunday for Generational Worship.  I'm okay with it...I really am.  Sniff, sniff.  Seriously, I love having her want to do her own thing, and I'm especially glad she adores Wendy!  Who doesn't?!?!?!
It was cool last Sunday when she and her bestie wore plaid together.  Great minds!
And she and I had a date night at Whole Foods when Jeremy was out of town and Georgia was spending the night with Nonnie and Grandad.  Special times with my growing girl!
And then I got a fever...and THIS little girl could hardly stand it...
But thankfully it didn't last long!  I'm feeling better today and hope to be 100% tomorrow!
