Happy 96th, Granny!

Yesterday, November 24, Granny turned 96 (!) and we celebrated last week at our Friday lunch at Cisco Grill.  It was great fun, but I forgot my good camera and only captured these three pictures with my phone!  Granny was such a hoot...when the wait staff came out with Granny's birthday brownie and ice cream, the entire restaurant was singing to her!  Granny milked it and waved her arms to say "thank-you, thank-you, you're too kind," and blew kisses to everyone, and told them she would make a wish for them!  Bless her heart, we had to help her blow out her candle (her lung capacity is so low), but she had a GREAT time.  We all shared a bite of her dessert and she felt very special.  After lunch was over, she treated Hattie and Hallie to a book from Logos Bookstore (next door), and Hattie was thrilled.  That was the moment I decided to take pictures...I wish I had thought about it earlier, but oh well!
Thanking Granny for her book
Granny read it to her...Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet!
Sweet, precious moments...I'm so thankful.

How neat that you still have your grandmother and Hattie has a living great-grandmother. Love the pic of them reading together.
