Halloween

Halloween was lots of fun this year!  It started out great because Hattie was allowed to wear her "Christmas Belle" costume ALL day long at Kids Day Out!

KDO had a fun "County Fair" for all the kids at the end of the day, complete with all kinds of games and prizes.  Hattie had a blast!

Then, for a special treat, Hattie got to come back to my office for an hour or so while I finished up work.  She made her rounds to see as many of my coworkers as she could...and they ALL gave her SOME kind of treat!  Here she is with our dear friend Sara :)

Then we went home and met up with Jeremy and our little Georgia Peach!

Then we put on REAL make-up (just a little eye shadow, blush and mascara) to complete the look.

We love trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, specifically two blocks down from our house.  The neighbors in these two blocks collectively pay the city for road blocks to be placed on each end of the blocks as well as a police officer on each end, too!  It's the safest place, and I especially love the fact that we don't have to worry about cars!  Every single house on the two blocks set up with their lawn chairs out and fun music playing, fire pits blazing, and decorations out like this one...

Georgia Peach was tuckered out after a while...

But Hattie was going strong, having a blast, hiking up her skirt and walking with long strides!

There is even a house who always puts on "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" on a big screen in their front yard for people to sit and watch...and they do!  It's so much fun.

All in all, it was a great night.  Until next year! :)
