One Day More...

So the weekend of Hattie's birthday party was a big one for us on many levels!  It was her first weekend after her first two days of school, her party weekend, AND her actual birthday AND Promotion Sunday AND the Gospel Explosion concert night!  All of those things were reason enough for this little lady to sleep in rollers for church the next day!
And now...presenting...our 6-year-old, curly-haired beauty!
We took a few cute pictures outside before we left the house for church, because we were running AHEAD of schedule for once!!!
Okay, we're ready now!
Georgia went straight into her new, "big girl," 2-year-old classroom without any hesitation!  She was ready to play with all the new toys!
After I dropped off the girls, I helped kick off our new Large Group format for the 3s-PreK, Kinder-1st Grade, 2nd-4th Grade, and 5th-6th Grade.  It went great, and I even got to take a selfie with my cuz, Carolina!
After church, Jeremy and I grabbed a quick lunch with a few choir/orchestra friends at El Fenix because we had Gospel Explosion rehearsal at 2:30!  Over lunch, it seemed like the entire congregation of FBD was there!  I even ran into Dr. Usrey...a retired pediatrician whom I have known at the church for YEARS.  He is the most gentle, kind-hearted, sweetest man I think I've ever known.  He told me he was about to move to Ft. Worth to live near his daughter, so I just had to take a picture with him.  I'll miss this sweetheart of a man.
Then I got to sing with these fine folks...oh, and the Hoppers were there, too! ;)  Here's me and my sweet Jeremy.
My good soprano friend Lisa :)
And my frontline girlfriends :)
WHEW!  It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but it was SOOOOO much fun!  Celebrating Hattie's 6 years of life, starting a new ministry year, and singing some fantastic gospel music...it doesn't get much better than that!
