Yard Fun

Ever since Easter weekend, we've been working hard in the yard!  I laid new sod on both sides of our front yard and took pictures as I went along.
First I did the right side...
Then I did the left side...
In the meantime, our azaleas were blooming like crazy, and our Indian Hawthorne bushes bloomed for the FIRST time in their whole 7-year-life at our house!
The pansies are happy!
And the amaryllis finally started blooming!
We've seen many butterflies, worms, and ladybugs!
Hattie is the one who usually finds them!
Here's our Hattie-Bug
And our Georgia-Bug
The sky has been gorgeous the last few days!
While Mommy pulls weeds, the girls take their babies for walks and ride their scooters to their hearts' content!
And sometimes they make concoctions for the bugs and birds to eat.
My blue-eyed tree-climber
And my long-lashed, slurpee-slurper (pinky up, you see)
Jeremy started a raised bed about two weeks ago, too!  He planted several veggies and fruits, so we should see a crop sometime in the summer!  I planted the easy stuff, like basil, cilantro, daisies and zinnias from seed, and they have already sprouted and grown quite a bit!  We will show you our finished products soon!
