I must admit...Dallas has an amazing fall season. It may only be a few days here and there of actual fall temperatures, but when we get them, it's fantastic! One Friday night, we decided to drive up to White Rock Lake, get out, and actually take a long walk together as a family. It was so much fun! Just look at how gorgeous Dallas can be!
Georgia was in hog heaven.
Fall also indicates our semi-annual dental appointments...and this was Georgia's FIRST! She did so great!
We went to our local nursery, Calloways, for their fun fall day, and the girls had a great time! Every child got to decorate their own pumpkin and make other crafts and eat bottomless amounts of popcorn.
But the real kicker was this lady right here...Rapunzel! She was there, mingling with the children, and our girls were captivated...especially Georgia. She kept asking if she could go see her castle.
Rapunzel colored with Georgia and made her day. When it was time for us to go, Georgia kissed her goodbye! What a day!
On another day when the weather was perfect, we had a little visitor occupy our back yard! Hattie and this little kitty played together ALL day long. We ended up naming him Marley.
Georgia was more interested in the flowers than in Marley...
But Hattie remained obsessed!
He loved climbing up into our trampoline and hanging his head down to play with Hattie...this cat!
Marley led Hattie to find a cicada and his shell on one of our trees! It was super-gross and super-cool at the same time!
She taught Georgia all about cicadas.
Then, in official "School Girl" fashion, Georgia and Daddy went to Ties and Tacos (their first official school date), and you can see they both had a great time! Hattie was there, too, but somehow couldn't sit still enough for a picture with her friends around!
Then Daddy taught the girls how to carve a pumpkin!
Now, all we need is Halloween to happen, and we'll officially be in the Fall Season!
