Random February Fun

This winter has been the weirdest ever!  We've had some gorgeous days lately, and we've been riding bikes, scooters and swinging a bunch!  It's weird, but I'm grateful!  I'm not sure who had more fun on the swing...the girls or Jeremy!
We took a spontaneous trip to Canton to meet Gramma and Poppa and Isabelle for dinner...and we can't ever NOT take a picture!
I got to celebrate my sweet friend Wendy on her birthday with two other sweet friends.  Thankful!
Jeremy and I had an impromptu date on Sunday afternoon at Klyde Warren Park!  Sans kids! So fun!
Then, one Saturday when Jeremy wasn't around, we had a "girls only" tea party and got all dressed up in our fanciest clothes...
Pinkies up!  We had spiced tea and a unique toast-honey-cinnamon-sugar creation of Hattie's making.
No words needed.
Then for "P is for Pets" week at Grace, we had Dr. Price come visit and speak to all four PreK classes about being a veterinarian!  The kids LOVED her and listened to her every word!
I enjoyed having her there, too!  She stayed through my kids' lunch time, and got to know my crazy class!
Then Georgia got sick again...and again...it was rough.  This was the morning I caught her actually asleep while sitting up for her breathing treatment.  So pitiful.
It's taken a long time, but she's finally better.  Isn't this the cutest face ever?
Miss Dixie is the TA for Georgia's class, and it makes me feel so good to know she (and Mrs. Miller, too!) notice everything about Georgia.  They know when she's happy, healthy, tired, anxious, and they pay attention when she utters a single cough.  They're wonderful and love little G as if she were their own.
Since we're doing all these breathing treatments and running vaporizers all the time, it's doing wonders for Georgia's hair!  Look at those curls! :)
Then Hattie started piano lessons!  She's doing SO well and she really enjoys it!  We are so proud.
Super Bowl Sunday called for ROLLED HAIR! :)
And what a surprise it was to see these two bricks at school!!!  Grandad and Nonnie are so precious...thank you for your support of our girls at Grace Academy!
After school a few weeks ago, in anticipation of "T is for Trees" week, I took Nonnie and the girls with me to pick up some amazing tree trunk slices my friend Cindy Murphy had saved for me from her farm in Rowlett.  We had such a great time!  She let us see their cows while they ate their dinner!
Look at those lashes!
This turned into a super-special time with precious friends...and her resources made my classroom centers during tree week a LOT more cool!
Sometimes the "every day" stuff becomes special because of the people you're with and the value they add to each experience.  These pictures are examples of just that.  I have much to be thankful for.
