This year, Hattie wanted a slumber party, so we decided we would treat her to a night with three friends at the Magnolia Hotel in the Park Cities. The day started off great! Georgia gave Hattie a #8 necklace for her birthday! Hattie LOVED it!
Then we met Kinley, Hartley and Alysse at the hotel for swimming, pizza and cake!
Hattie received some precious gifts, but she was especially proud of her new earrings!
Then there was a special "Milk and Cookies" time in the hotel lobby, which was LOTS of fun! The girls cleaned up and ate their cookies in their pjs!
Then we adjourned to our room for a salon experience!
And maybe a pillow fight or two...
Then they fell asleep at around 12:15! And woke up ready to go after we ate breakfast in bed! :)
Back to the pool for more swimming!
After everyone was picked up from the hotel, Mommy and Hattie had a special Starbucks date before heading back home. Look how much older Hattie looks!!!! It's already happening!
Then we had a joint birthday celebration with Grandad (since his birthday is the 19th and Hattie's is the 23rd!) at Fuddruckers!
The big cousins all spent their quarters on a game without saving a quarter for Georgia...she was so sad, so Jeremy got another quarter for only her...and she WON two pieces of candy!!! Poetic justice!!! Hahaha!
Then the ACTUAL day of Hattie's birth arrived!!!! She loved getting to spend it with her school friends! We supplied cupcakes and Capri Sun for the class, and Mrs. Kennedy supplied the birthday crown! :)
Then it was time for the wellness check-up! Hattie wasn't too sure about the new paper gowns they gave her...
Silly faces time...
I can't believe Hattie is 8 years old! Hattie, you are a blessing to all you meet! You are so smart, talented, and beautiful both inside and out. I look forward to watching you grow in His grace this year! We love you so much!
