This year is Georgia's first year in a uniform! Hattie is in the big world of 3rd Grade, and Georgia is in PreK-4 every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday! Hattie is looking forward to a great year with Mrs. Kennedy as her teacher!
Even Georgia is excited for Hattie! Somehow I didn't get a picture with Georgia's teacher, Mrs. Luna, but we are still very excited for her year, too!
Meet-The-Teacher day was more fun with these two girls around me!
And Jeremy came home with these flowers to wish me a great first week of school!
Apparently Georgia spends most of her time in this area of the room: the home living center! She loves a good kitchen and baby doll!
And perhaps the biggest, most-defining thing about the first week of school was THIS! The solar eclipse! I was able to borrow special eclipse glasses, pull Hattie out of class, and we both saw this image in the sky! It was amazing! I can't wait to see the FULL eclipse in Dallas in 2024! Hattie told me all about it from what she learned in class!
Then we went to birthday party for one of G's friends from school, Isabella...I love that she is making good friends at school! What a blessing!
Then came Promotion Sunday! The day where we try to wear matching dresses and get to church on time to meet our new teachers for the year!
And we did! We didn't realize Miss Brynn would be Georgia's teacher again! She has taught G in Sunday School since she (and all her friends) was 9 months old!
Even Hattie loves Miss Brynn!
But Hattie is going to have a great 3rd Grade year with Mrs. Mary Catherine! I'm so happy for her! I've known Mary Catherine ever since I was a teenager, babysitting her three kids, and she has taught Sunday school for MANY years, and I know Hattie will have a great year!
Big things to come for these big girls!
